Biography
Whenever she's asked the question, "what do you do for a living?" Shirley responds, "I shoot people, and they thank me for it."
Shirley was a little girl when her daddy gave her a Canon film SLR. She took a photography course that summer at 14, and she was forever hooked. At 19, she thought she was too old and too late to transition into digital photography. Thank goodness she did it anyway. A lot of college and a few healthcare-related jobs later, at 28, she saved up enough money to start Shirley Che Photography. She loves photographing people, and she does it well, both candid and in studio.
Shirley joined George Street Photo and Video as an associate photographer for the company's Dallas market. She is the staff photographer at Attorney at Law magazine Fort Worth. Shirley is the official photographer for the annual DFW Dragon Boat Festival. She is a contributor/instructor with Mission of Mercy Animal Photography Project. She also works with local musicians on album cover shoots.
Shirley makes her bed in Fort Worth, Texas every night and is a sucker for any assignment that gives her the opportunity to travel.
